Shoei GT-AIR II Motomail Launch

When Motomail owner Chris Hyland suggested a launch for the ALL New GT-Air II the team at Whites were all ears, soon enough a date was set, and a plan was made.

Skip ahead to Wednesday the 3rd of April and the scene was set, accompanying Chris from Motomail was Whites General Manager Adrian Cox, Sales Manager Hayden Mills, Marketing Manager Luke Mason and SENA Product Specialist Dave McArthur along with Chris’ dedicated team all ready and excited to present the all-new Shoei GT-AIR II to an eager group of loyal customers and motorcycle enthusiasts.

The evening kicked off with Chris welcoming everyone to the store and introduced Adrian, who went on to enlighten everyone with a brief history of Shoei Helmets. So, what did Adrian have to say about the world’s leading helmet manufacturer?

Founded in 1959 Shoei has dedicated the last 60 years to manufacturing the best helmets in the world, innovative technology and an ambition to be the best has enabled Shoei to produce helmets with unrivalled protection and comfort. Whether you’re shredding rubber on the track with an X-Spirit III, exploring with a Neotec II or touring with a GT-AIR II you can be assured Shoei have taken every step necessary to offer you the best-in-class helmet available.

Shoei utilises their Advanced Integrated Matrix (AIM & AIM+) technology during the production of their helmet shells. AIM & AIM+ provides a multi-layered shell with a combination of fibreglass and fibres resulting in 5-6 layers from inside to out. The AIM/AIM+ construction allows the shell to absorb and distribute an impact over the largest area possible so that it can be more easily absorbed by the EPS liner. Shoei are also committed to making the lightest helmet possible, without sacrificing safety, to boost the helmets lightweight feel they test all helmets in their wind tunnel, improving the aerodynamics of the helmet which helps the helmet cut through the air reducing stress on the neck and providing a lightweight feel at speed.

Once the history lesson had concluded Adrian introduced the GT-AIR II, Shoei’s all-new premier sports-touring helmet. Constructed with a less aggressive style and head angle along with a wider field of view in comparison to racing specific helmets, perfect for on-road touring. Like all Shoei’s the GT-AIR II was extensively tested in their wind tunnel providing excellent aerodynamics and ventilation. A dropdown internal visor and the integration of SENA’s SRL2 communication system add to the touring capabilities of the GT-AIR II.

From there, everyone was given the opportunity to have a close look at the GT-AIR II and try it on while having any further questions or queries answered by the team from Whites. Once satisfied many in attendance purchased their own GT-AIR II and SENA SRL2 and left with a grin from ear to ear.

A huge thank you to Chris and the Motomail staff for being gracious hosts and to those who attended for completing a great evening.
