Bridgestone Unveils BATTLAX SPORT TOURING T33: Premium Sport Touring Motorcycle Tyres for New Zealand

Bridgestone Corporation has announced the release of the BATTLAX SPORT TOURING T33, an advanced sport touring radial motorcycle tyre.

Building on the reputation of the BATTLAX SPORT TOURING T32, the BATTLAX SPORT TOURING T33 is designed as a next-generation sport touring tyre, boasting a 47% improvement in mileage from its predecessor.  

This latest addition to the BATTLAX lineup maintains the T32’s high wet-weather performance while enhancing handling in dry conditions, offering kiwi riders even greater confidence and control on the road. 

The T33 features a newly developed compound along with an optimised tread pattern and construction, boosting both durability and reliability for long-distance rides. These innovations help reduce the stress of extended touring and add to the enjoyment of long journeys through New Zealand’s diverse landscapes. 

The T33 introduces several new technologies to enhance performance. Both front and rear tyres feature a new pattern design with an optimised land-sea ratio and pattern stiffness, retaining the T32’s shape for improved grip, stability, and handling.  

The front tyre uses a new cross belt for flexible support, while the rear tyre includes an MS belt (Mono-spiral), designed for both light and heavy motorcycles. Meanwhile, a brand new compound in the rear tyre incorporates a high-strength, wear-resistant polymer, helping to prevent chain scission and extending tyre life.

 

This improved mileage in the BATTLAX SPORT TOURING T33 is achieved by combining the advanced compound, pattern, and construction, which collectively reduce the tyre’s contact patch slippage area. 

At launch, the BATTLAX SPORT TOURING T33 will be available in New Zealand in two rear sizes and one front size.
